Envisionit, an award-winning digital marketing agency, is seeking a Resource Manager to join our growing team. Our clients span a number of industries including Travel & Leisure, CPG and Emerging Tech, and our teams boast many talents across the spectrum of digital. We have a beautiful office overlooking Millennium Park and Lake Michigan that serves as the perfect setting for collaboration in our hybrid environment (likely 1-2 days in office each week). 

The Resource Manager will play a critical role in managing and optimizing the allocation of resources across various projects within the agency. This position requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The Resource Manager will work closely with department leads to ensure that the right people are assigned to the right projects, balancing workloads, and maximizing efficiency. This role is accountable for:

  • Team Allocations: Ensuring all team allocations are appropriately planned and maintained according to project needs

  • Workload Management: Monitoring workloads to identify when they become unmanageable and initiating actions to address it

  • Resourcing Assurance: Ensuring departments do not need to worry about resourcing issues or sales pipeline complications

  • Platform Utilization: Overseeing the proper use of project management and resourcing platforms

  • Project Planning and Allocations: Guaranteeing that detailed project planning is completed and that resources are correctly allocated

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project managers and department leads to understand project requirements and resource needs
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive resource allocation plan to optimize staff utilization across multiple projects
  • Monitor resource availability and proactively manage any potential conflicts or shortages

  • Facilitate regular meetings with team leads to discuss resource planning, project timelines, and staffing updates

  • Analyze resource utilization data and provide insights to improve efficiency and productivity

  • Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of freelance and contract resources as needed

  • Maintain an up-to-date database of available internal and external resources

  • Support the development and implementation of resource management tools and processes

  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting open communication and teamwork

 

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field - or equivalent experience

  • 3+ years of experience in resource management, preferably within an advertising agency or a similar creative environment

  • Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with a keen attention to detail

  • Proficient in using resource management software and tools (i.e., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet)

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing challenges
